is it like a bitter celery?
Sort of. It looks like celery, but doesn’t have that crunch or taste. Apparently it is part of the artichoke family, which after boiling it for 45 minutes the texture reminds me of. The bitter flavor comes out on the end of the taste; I’m still trying to decide if I like it.
